You’ll love it! Costa Rica is so beautiful and diverse and a very mountainous country filled with scenery to absolutely take your breath away. It’s very green and lush supporting a huge diversity of flora and fauna you will see on your rides. As your flight arrives and descends into the country you will immediately be taken by the incredible scenery that we are so blessed with and absolutely itching to get on the bike.
Roads here reach a maximum altitude of 3819 meters although typically mountain roads reach around 2000 meters to challenge even the fittest of riders. The vistas are fantastic, our favourite tops out at just under 3,000 meters which is an active volcano with incredible views and many stop off points along the way. You probably don’t want to do mountains every day, so we have also put together plenty of easier low altitude spin rides with little or no gradient when you want to take it a little easier.

We share our passion for cycling, pioneering bespoke cycling holidays for international cyclists. Riders principally visiting us from North America, UK, Holland (Fietstochten, Zelfnavigatie Wegfietstochten, Rondreizende), Spain (Vacaciones en bicicleta de carretaera) & France (Fantastiques randonnees a velo sur route). Everyone is extremely welcome & this is truly one of a kind & the number one cycling adventure of a lifetime & will leave you wanting to come back year after year to explore more. We are also bilingual English, Spanish.
Your day’s ride will typically start in beautiful year round sun (70 degrees plus Fahrenheit by 6am generally throughout the year & later in the day you can sometimes expect up to 90 degrees) with clear blue skies, & warm air whatever time of year you come. It’s light soon after 5am 12 months of the year (& dark by 6pm so start as early as you like).
We have put together a great number of different routes & loops, varying in degree of intensity to suit your particular preferences. If you want challenging, we’ll give you challenging. If you want an easy day, no worries. We are sure you will agree, once you have been here, these will be the best rides of your life & you’ll want to come straight back!

To give you an example, where else in the world could you stop off for a break on a beautiful mountainside café or bar & watch a Jesus Christ Lizard basking in the sun by Tropical Vegetation & when startled running across the stream to safety whilst you enjoy an ice-cold drink & delicious locally prepared food?
The scenery throughout Costa Rica is stunning, where you’ll see an incredible diversity of flora & fauna including gorgeous Butterflies, Hummingbirds & other native species all adding to the wonderful Tropical experience. In quieter areas various species of monkey are often seen.
Iguanas are emblematic of Costa Rica, sometimes four feet long and resplendently bask alongside the roadside or scamper across it, all adding to the ‘Pura Vida’ experience.

The climbs & descents here are amazing & offer incredible vistas with interesting little hamlets dotting the landscapes.
